I don't buy that Weekend is a parody, or really anything other than what it was, a misstep. Maybe its the cynic in me, but I think thetalk about that ep having meaning to it, etc, is a bit of revisionist history. It did have a few moments, and hey, its still 1 of 19, but I still feel that it wasn't ...

The only episode that really felt out of whack for me was "Weekend". It didn't seem to flow from where the show came or where it would soon end. On Weekend for a moment, while I very much enjoy Bill Blais' analysis of the episodes, I think he really misses the boat on that one. He reads waaay too mu...

Brilliant Cruelty

Such perfect pain... Well, I nicely timed out my viewing of the DVD set for 2003, and just finished watching the finale. Its sad. But, thats why I titled this what I did. In another thread, I think the one that turned into a discussion of burritos or something, the point was stated that Angel never ...

I've just started watching this show, it is the funniest thing I've seen in years.

Between the Office and Bargain Hunt, I'm moving to the UK!

I had a notion that perhaps despite Jordans protestations of the song being about his car it was actually about Angela. But after watching the episode again, Jordan just seems too clueless. I think he lest her listen to it because he senses whatever he sings she will say is wonderful. Hence, no pres...

I think the last episode was quite good. I've said it before, more Wes and Fred is a damn good thing. I see signs of hope.

That was good news spoiled above. Its what the show needs.

It would be silly for me to argue that killing Spike would cure all the very real problems you noted. But I think it would be a start.... From I what perceive, Angel has been redesigned to "dumb it down" for a hoped for larger audience. Hence all the sex and pee jokes, which insult most of the origi...

Yeah, they've done this exact same plot a couple of times, most directly with the Willow spell going awry, and the awful beginnings of Spike and Buffy foreshadowed. This season of Angel just seems bad. I hate to say I told you so, but Spike is going to be associated with the crappiest season on BOTH...

Can we re-name the show Spike yet?

And what is Joss with the naked Spike? For my money, when he started with that on Buffy it ruined the show.

I'm really beginning to believe what I predicted earlier in this thread is coming true.

I suggest less Spike, more Fred and Wesley. And bring back Cordy.

Hey starbug, I'm with you. I also bailed (smartly, it turned out) from AU early on, and got a refund from the CC company.

If I could burn one, I'd definitely pass it around. I suppose if someone anon put it out on kazaa, which of course can not be sanctioned here. I'm just sayin'! :)

I re-read again all your posts and I noticed the concern about what exactly would happen in the way of a plot. I agree, its tough, we just can't pick up like an episode. I still trust Winnie and the rest of BF to come up with something. I imagine the group re-convening because of an event, ala the B...

I can't tell you how happy this made me to read. It was very fun to think about. BUT...I don't think it will ever happen. That said, I had some thoughts upon reflection. I understand the initial desire for an actor to distcance themselves from a role, in order to avoid being pigeon-holed. Face it, S...
