Let me clarify. It is not so much the hinting that I frown upon. That is fine. It is the intentional leaving the catalog open to that item, or more importantly taping the picture of the item to a cup. That is when I won't buy it, not that my girlfriend would do that anyway. Hints are ok though

I found Elf to be pretty funny for the first 1/2 or so, but by the end IMO it just devolved into your typical feel good family holiday crapfest.

Of course, I hate holiday movies, so I may be biased.

There is no reason why this thread should be deleted.

If anything just lock it so nobody can keep posting in it. If something is so painful and wrong to look at than it shouldn't be constantly bumped back to the top of the list.

Any store should have it. Just stay away from like a Blockbuster, or other family oriented rental place that sells copies. Best Buy has it for sure. Amazon. Just look for "Director's Cut"
