Re: Parenthood

I agree with you Natasha, the only good storyline this year is Adam dealing with work problems. everything else is just sort of skimmed over. hopefully it will get a better flow to it soon.

Re: Summer Travel

Hong Kong and Australia, you guys have been exotic! haha. we just went up to Montreal for labor day weekend. man, it's so clean up there! but yeah, that was really nice to get the French culture and not have to to go France. next month we are visiting New Orleans because I've never been and have bee...

Re: What's on your bookshelf?

one of my favorite autobiographies is Beverly Cleary, the woman who wrote the Romona series. the book is her life up until she's 18, but it's really powerful. it's all about her growing up during the depression as a child. in fact, I need to reread it, it's been a while.

Re: Parenthood

this is definitely one of my fav new shows! mostly the thing I love best about it is the natural feel of it, something I loved about MSCL. I also like the realistic storylines. I mean, there's definitely some drama, but they also have silly little family moments like the impromptu dancing scene. mos...

Re: What's on your bookshelf?

Brunkster, You should read For Whom The Bell Tolls by Hemingway, one of my favorite books of all time. your post is also funny to me, because I've been meaning to read Dickens for a while. I had the same thought too, how have I not read Dickens ever?! ha ha

Re: Why does the letter work for Jordan, but not Brian?

I agree with Natasha, it's not about the letter working for Jordan and not Brian. for one thing, Jordan meant the things in the letter just like Brian did. Jordan was trying to write something himself for her, but that just wasn't a skill for him. he could have given her a simple note saying, I like...

Re: what other characters would you have wanted to narrate?

Brunkster, I think Tino narrating would have been awesome!! plus a great opportunity for some inside jokes.

I would have loved to have heard Rayanne's narration. to me, she's one of the more 3-dimensional characters on the show. plus, she's the one who grew the most of anyone through the season.

Re: Summer Travel

I just realized today that it's been months and months since I've visited the site :( this post piqued my interest because it brings back memories of travelling. plus, ever since the Ken Burns documentary on the national parks, I've been dying to go visit one of them on the west coast. I don't reall...

Re: What are Lifer's watching these days?

ah, I forgot that I also watch Party Down. I think a lot of people on here would like this show. it's by the creators of Veronica Mars and has a lot of the same actors as well. very funny stuff. unfortunately it's like a cable show in that it only airs 12 eps at a time. season 2 premieres next april!

Re: What are Lifer's watching these days?

so I love vampires. it's funny though because I've read all the books these new shows are based on, True Blood and The Vampire Diaries . and I have to say that I enjoy both shows even though they are nothing like the books. in fact, The Vampire Diaries is way better as a show. the books were just to...

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I just recently started another Buffy marathon too. it's been too long! I'm currently on season 2, right after Angel's change. season 2 is so awesome. almost every single line is quote worthy and makes me smile. and now, I'm discovering all these people I work with who loved the show as well, so tha...

Re: Sex and the City

it's funny, but I just saw the movie over the weekend! yeah I was surprised at how depressing the movie was. it was like all the women were moping about aging. plus the whole Big thing was really ridiculous. the man is clearly older and he's suddenly having commitment issues simply because the weddi...
