Re: 2007 Region 1 Complete Set Rerelease (ShoutFactory)

There is very little discussion on the new set about the reasons why the series was cancelled. Our discussion of the possible reasons can be found on this thread: http://www.mscl.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2947 . On its face, this lack of information isn't a big deal. However, since there was mo...

Re: 2007 Region 1 Complete Set Rerelease (ShoutFactory)

It wasn't just the adults who got more more air time as a result of the child labor laws . On the AU bonus disc, Winnie/Marshall/Ed explain that because Claire was underage (and hence could not be in every scene), they were forced to write more storylines for all of the other characters. I believe ...

Re: Re:

People who fought to save the show, Operation Life Support, didn't know that she wanted to quit. Obsolutely incorrect. OLS, as early as January 1995, was intimately aware that Claire (actually her mother and then agent, Mike Lazzo) wanted to quit the show. In fact, Steve Joyner was pilloried by man...

Re: 2007 Region 1 Complete Set Rerelease (ShoutFactory)

I've been going through the DVDs at a good clip since I have had a couple of days off of work. I'm paused on "On the Wagon" now. I like the commentaries a great deal. Devon Gummersall's contributions on the "Life of Brian" commentary were interesting. He was going through many of the same things in ...

I really liked Evening. I thought Claire was really good. She was so beautiful. I thought she sung pretty well, too.

The member lookup kind of goes off the page when you look someone up. I'm using Internet Explorer at the moment.

Re: Jared Leto in Lord of War

I watched Lord of War. Overall, I thought it was good, but a little moralistic (guns are bad). I thought Jared Leto did some good acting, except his departure did not have much support from the story. All of a sudden, he became upset by what the guns they were selling would do?

I got it from Netflix. I'll comment on it after I get a chance to see it.

It's a small thing -- the banners are not working correctly. There are no pictures. You are taken to the site, though when you click on the broken box.

Re: The Cast on Facebook?

I wonder if this Facebook thing is a promotional effort for the DVDs. If so, it's a great idea. Or, they could be fans of the show.

The skies around Tampa have been filled with smoke from wildfires in surrounding counties and all the way from south Georgia. Outside and inside smells of burning leaves. There hasn't been enough rain to wash away the smoke. People with breathing problems are encouraged to stay inside.
