Re: Anniversary

Well, the scene you describe is certainly a powerful one. Her parents probably handle the situation the best they could, but Angela, on the other hand feels crushed. The pain she feels can be seen on her face, as well as in her actions. One of my favorite scenes is in the episode "Self Esteem". Actu...

Re: Anniversary

You're right, it is a cool site. Another site that's good is http://www.specialweb.com/tv/shows.html. This site lists old and new tv shows, by name, and has links to all the listed pages on the web.

Re: Camera-shy Claire

Hmmm, interesting thought. It's really very confusing, isn't it? I wish I knew. But, if she did, in fact, have a difference of opinion over the direction the movie went, then it is possible that she is trying to distance herself from the movie, so as to not be associated with it.

Try going to http://www.specialweb.com/tv/shows.html - this site gives you a listing of "relativity" sites on the web.

Also, try http://www.geocities.com/hollywood/hills/4321/

Good luck!

Re: Camera-shy Claire

Yes, I saw the movie on opening day. Truthfully, I was a little disappointed; mostly because of the ending. But, Claire was great. I thought she did an excellent job. The acting was good all around, but i thought that the characters were not developed well enough. More time should have been spent ge...

Re: Camera-shy Claire

I know what you mean...it's like cutting off your nose to spite your face! Seems like it would be the last thing she would want to do. But, we don't know what went on at the set, so for all we know, there might have been a very heated discussion about it and Claire is feeling like she has no control...

Re: Camera-shy Claire

I just got back from reading the EW article and I have to say that she makes a good point when she states that Claire would have learned a lot more about what makes a really good show if she had stayed on TV with those same writers and director, etc. But who's to say that she hasn't learned that les...

Re: Camera-shy Claire

I have to agree with you because I read(and just now I can't remember where) that during the filming of BP there was a difference of opinion over the script and where it was going. Apparently, Claire signed-on thinking one thing about the movie and then, during filming found out that editorial chang...

Camera-shy Claire & Brokedown Palace

The following excerpt appeared in the San Diego Union-Tribune, Saturday, August 14, 1999, under the byline "DATELINE HOLLYWOOD" by George Rush & Joanna Molloy; "Claire Danes got a shock last Tuesday. The actress, who is supposed to be promoting her film "Brokedown Palace", which opened yesterday, ar...

Claire on E! News Daily

Claire was the above program yesterday. I think sometimes they rerun that show on the weekends, so maybe you can still catch it. Bye.

Re: Claire on FANatic

Hey. Yeah, I agree; Claire was great. I was glad that MTV spent so much time with her. It seemed like she was on the better part of 20 minutes. I thought she was sincere too, and after the initial meeting of Skip (her #1 fan) she seemed to relax a bit and, I thought, actually started to enjoy the ex...

Claire on Letterman

Well, I'm here looking to see if anyone saw the Letterman interview last night. I taped it but haven't had a chance to look at it (work has a way of interrupting my life, haha). So, what's the word?

Re: I want to BE her!

Hey, great! It sounds like you are really into the part. About the Cranberries, I did the same thing - went out and bought the CD as soon as I figured out who did the song. I did the same with REM - I really like the track "Everybody Hurts Sometimes". Yeah, I agree with you about the MSCL soundtrack...
