Re: Michael Jackson's Gone....

Since I was in high school when MJ was the biggest thing going, I felt a nostalgic twinge when I heard that he had died. I fired up Rhapsody to listen to some of his albums. I hadn't listened to any of his songs in years. I liked what I heard.

Re: The So-Called Word Association

I wasn't sure of my answer. Thanks for the correction.

I guess bisque could be considered an off-white color that indicates that a woman getting married is not a virgin.

Re: The ebb and flow of being a fan…

I haven't watched any episodes since I devoured the Shout! Factory DVD release. I think I'm going to start watching them more slowly this week. In the past, I've started with watching one. Then, I watch another and another, back-to-back. I think making myself stop at one a night and savoring each on...

Graham makes a bisque for the potential restaurant investors in the final episode.

Tom has aged pretty well.

I hope that his character appears on the show again.

Re: Sharon and Brian

I agree with the point that common first names lead to people being referenced by their last name. Last names are more specific. I experienced that phenomenon myself. Plus, to a teenager, using last names probably seems like an adult thing to do. The references to Angela spending a lot of time at Sh...

Re: Dissecting Danielle

I agree that Graham and Patty would probably be easier on Danielle. Parents in general tend to get worn down through each successive child's trip through the teen years. Ongoing battes sap their strength. What seemed impossible to allow before becomes tolerable.

That's a good article. It made me wonder though if there's a female version of Jordan Catalano.

Re: What's on your bookshelf?

I'm reading Robert Penn Warren's All the King's Men. Considering it's one of the highest esteemed books about American politics and I was a poli-sci major in college, I'm kind of late getting to it. Michael Emerson, who plays Ben Linus on Lost reads the Audible book. He's quite a good reader.

Re: High School Memories.

I remember my last year in high school being the best. Changes in my physical appearance -- I put on a little weight so that I wasn't such a stick figure; I changed my hair style a little from the boy-standard haircut I had sported for around 10 years; I got a little more in-style glasses; my face f...

Re: birthday thread

I just noticed that the format for how the date of birth is listed in profiles has changed. The day is listed first and then the month and year. However, it used to be month, date, then year. The order changed, but the input remained the same. Therefore, my birth date became 05/10/1968, when it is r...

Re: What did Brian tell Sharon abt the experiment night?

I think Brian tells Sharon a big story with the intention to hurt Angela. Given his reaction to Angela when she confronts him about what he said -- he doesn't try to deny that he said things intended to inflict pain -- I think we can assume he made up some awful things. Also, I don't think Sharon is...
