thanks for the recommendation, though I'm now going to disappoint you by saying that THE OFFICE season 2 is once again 6 episodes. A lot of comedy shows over here are about that length, very rare that we have a season lasting 22 episodes or similar.

The latest season of THE OFFICE is hilarious, if you work in an office at all it's probably the funniest thing you'll see all week. Sadly it's gonna be the last series too, which is good in that it won't become rubbish but it's a shame to see it go. Highlights include David Brent giving a lecture on...

I read that Joss W was trying to get some other TV network to take Firefly and that WB might have been interested. I don't really know the difference between FOX and WB, but I gather FOX goes to more people and so having a success or that channel is a bit bigger than having one on WB or similar. It ...

I well up for this. Any day of the week is good for me, having only 5 channels in the UK I can usually fit in 1 45 minute show. As a solution to the meet-up times, couldn't it just be done on here, as one (long?) thread? That way it can last a week (or more), and UK folks can join in the morning aft...

I really liked what I've seen of FIREFLY - 2 episodes and a crappy version of the pilot - that whole sci-fi meets western thing works well, the characters seem interesting and there's quite a lot of scope for the story to progress. I hear that it's already been cancelled and that Fox haven't even sh...

We get FARSCAPE and 24 on the BBC, just a long time after it airs on anything else. Basically we'll probably see the 2nd season of 24 in about 6 months or so, and the final season of FARSCAPE is currently airing.

I'll see what i can find with regards to the other recommendations, thanks.

US people, recommend me some shows!!

OK, so I can download some pretty good quality versions of shows currently on US networks, that will either never get shown over here, or will be on at strange times/on networks that I don't get. Anyone recommend me some good stuff that's currently showing on your end of the pond? I've started watch...

I'm by no means an expert, but I'd guess it means that your TV is trying to play the discs as if they're PAL, when in fact they're NTSC. You might be able to change you telly, try searching the options on the menus via the remote, also try the DVD menus, that might work. It's probably not a problem ...

My recommends George Orwell - read everything, not just 1984 and Animal Farm. His other books make commentaries on racism, imperialism etc. He was way ahead of his time. Dr Zhivargo - it's a hefty volume, but it's a classic for good reasons Thomas Hardy - Tess of the D'Urbervilles Aldous Huxley - Br...

but it's not 100 quid is it, it's 100 dollars, so it should be a bit less than that.

My charge from Amazon was £12.15, the AU package is of course, more expensive so you would pay more for that.

17.5% of the cost of the DVD, but in pounds, not dollars.
That's VAT, oh and Parcel Force charge you for presenting it to customs. I'd guess at somewhere between £10 and £15.

The DVD set on Ebay - Question

If you take a look on ebay, copies of the complete MSCL on DVD are appearing all the time accompanied by messages such as "this is not yet released, the winner will be sent the set as soon as it is available". Strangly though, they're selling for something like $40, or certainly a lot less than AU a...

Arrogance of Mike@AU

I've e-mailed several times, trying to get my money back for the order I cancelled at the end of October. In my last e-mail I pointed out that legally they had to give me my money back within a month, and I would be reporting them to the IFCC. My reply? "I'll make sure the accounting department are ...
