Re: Self Esteem

You guys probably aren't going to believe me, but the same shirt makes a run through the next episode too! Actually, the flannel shirt that we first see Rayanne wearing early on in "Self Esteem" is worn by Angela at the beginning of the next episode (Episode 13 --- forget the name). Angela is drivin...

Recurring clothes

Hi: Has anyone ever noticed that in the episode, "Self Esteem" --- one of Angela's flannel shirts from an earlier episode makes a scene-after-scene run through the whole episode? First, Rayanne is seen wearing Angela's shirt (when she is talking to Ricky and eating Chinese food outside the school). ...

Re: hypothetical movie question

Wow --- I have no idea who any of these people are you guys are talking about --- That shows my age, I guess. I think Colin Hanks (Tom Hanks' son) of Roswell would make an interesting Brian Krakow (not like the original Brian, but sort of a "kinder, gentler" Brian). I don't know enough teen actors t...

Re: Looking for 3 episodes

Hi : I can get you a copy of the one where Brian narrates. In fact, the video I have is from the Box Set of videos that were available for awhile. The episode is called "Life of Brian," and it's of course one of the more innovative and daring of all the episodes. I would be happy to exchange this fo...

More bad news

I just checked my TV guide for this week --- and there aren't any episodes of MSCL scheduled this week (no tuesday, friday, or saturday). I'm guessing today's episode was the last one. It's pretty sad, because if we can't even see the complete set of shows once through in syndication, I wonder if an...

Is Fox Family Channel really going to show all the episodes?

Fox Family Channel reduced it's number of showings this weekend of
episode 8 ----- It wasn't on tonight. One wonders if they are really committed
to showing all 19 episodes.

Does anybody know?

Re: Roswell

Hey --- nice site. I think "Roswell" is open for lampooning (in a good sort of way --- kind of like "Star Trek"). It's a cool show, although quite different from MSCL. You have to look at it a little differently --- kind of half-comedy, half-adventure, half weird-TV-fun-experience. -------------- wi...

Re: MSCL on Fox Family Channel

This is sad --- and rather disturbing. There seems to be a
ban on later episodes of MSCL or something. I sincerely
hope they show the last 7 episodes. It's almost as if
people are trying to erase the last seven episodes, to pretend
they never existed.

Re: A new topic: Could Brian and Angela ever hit it off as

Well, what's interesting about all of your responses is that, the show (had it continued after episode 19), seemed to be relying alot on the fact that there was this whole "love-triangle" thing between Angela, Brian, and Jordan. But if truly Brian & Angela have no chance, then the final scene in epi...

One further thought -- The impact of MSCL

I wonder what ultimately is the "message" of MSCL. It's true that it's a great show, a great work of art, etc. But it's also a creative force of thought --- It typically manages to make me reflect on the meaning of my life ---- or more directly, the meaning of my adolescence and all it's intensities...

MSCL's greatest quality (?)

I'd like to hear what each of you think is the key quality that makes MSCL what it is --- What is the primary reason you loved the show? Here's mine: I've been out of adolescence for many years now, but I must say that MSCL is the first and only show that accurately reflects my memory of the mood of...

Vote on Rayanne (?) --- a real friend?

OK --- Now let's get down to some real issues here: I think Rayanne is really cool. I think she's a great friend to Angela. I think she provides Angela with a new and unique perspective --- a valid perspective. Sure --- she had sex with Jordan --- but only after Angela and Jordan broke up. I think A...

Could Brian and Angela ever hit it off as a couple?

I wonder if Brian and Angela could ever hit it off as a couple. I'd like to hear your opinion. I mean, most girls would agree (i'd bet) that in their dreams they's prefer Jordan --- but this relationship is also obviously doomed. In an imperfect world, could Angela be happy with Brian? Could they ma...

Is MSCL the greatest television series of all time?

Presumably, if you're here at this site, you have some interest in the show, "My So-Called Life" (MSCL). I'm not the biggest TV-watcher in the world, but I'm willing to cast my vote now that MSCL is the greatest TV series ever. I wonder how many agree. I mean, I'm sure there will be arguments like, ...
