I'm burned out from reading the dvd forum, this question on the other hand is fun to answer: things that changed my life, not in any order: 1. mtv's 120 minutes (now shown on mtv2) 2. violent femmes 3. the movie office space :D 4. the tv show undeclared 5. the tv show party of five 6. bumping into m...

recycled ideas - and a fun proposal

Part 1: Recycling: So I was reading many of the old dvd related posts starting back in January. At this point most of what we are doing is recycling old ideas. Actually, as a result of reading old posts, I decided to edit one of my posts today because I realized what I said was stupid. I probably w...

Re: Catch 22

You can report us and we won't go out of business nor will we do any retaliatory measure like not shipping your order or anything else. Sir, I think you would save yourself a lot of grief if you would not be so combative. If you can offer an explanation as to why a number of your customers have app...

Re: AU

However, why was AU chosen? Why didn't the project planners for this choose a more reliable distributor? Amazon.com? I mean... what was the agenda behind using AU? I wish I knew. I have always assumed that CMIH was one of the only or maybe the only retailer willing to take on the project. At the be...

AU

The way I see it, my issue is with AU and not anyone else. I ordered the set from AU, not from Jason. It is nice of him to try to fix our problems, but customer service is the obligation of the retailer, not Jason. If the dvd is to be delayed, that information should come from the retailer. I find t...

Just curious Megs, when did you place your order? Or I wonder if everyone who used american express was spared overcharge mess.

Also, thanks to Nostradamus for the sister poll.

waiting 4 weeks or more

I am a little disturbed that so many people have been waiting 4 weeks or more for a refund, especially since others received refunds relatively quickly. Clearly, we are all not being treated equally.

Re: wow

anyone else get the feeling AU is covering something up? I don't think there is a sinister plot behind the overcharges. Clearly there was some sort of mistake made, and due to the volume of customers relative to what they are used to dealing with, they are overwhelmed. I don't understand why they d...

I guess there are fewer consumer protections with a debit card than a credit card. If need be, you can dispute a credit charge before you have pay. You can still dispute a debit charge with your bank, but like you indicated, that doesn't help if you were counting on having an extra $80 in your check...

No, I never got emailed an apology. They finally got my double charge fixed, but that didn't fix the fact that they stole $70 from me for two weeks. (Since my account was debit, not credit, it was ACTUAL money they stole). I've been checking my junk mail folder consistenly too, so its not a case of...

Don't feel pressured to put your Office Space love to rest. It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care. :D Well, since you gave a stamp of approval, I'll indulge in one more Office Space memory and still try to keep the topic of this thread in mind: At least every time we call AU we don't ...

I like The Clarks too. We're lucky to have such a good local band. And thank goodness for registered postings in this forum.

No wonder we haven't received refunds yet, the AU accounting department is too busy filling out TPS reports. And the person in charge of refunds has nine bosses. With that I'll put my love of Office Space to rest.
