I got my DVD's yesterday from DeepDiscount. I paid $14 CDN customs charges, plus $45.00 american for the set, for a grand total of $84 CDN!!!!!!!! hmm... well although I called and they SAID my order was shipping today, I didn't get my shipping notice!!!! what the hell?!

I just got off the phone with customer service at DDD, and she told me that my order was set to ship TODAY!!! Just wanted to share with anyone ordering from them as previously they had said it wouldn't be shipped until the 29th.
The end is in sight!!!!!!!

I called DeepDiscount today, to clear up an error when I filled out my order. They had to cancel, then re-enter my order. I was told that the set was on backorder until November 29th. Sad news! it persuaded me to order with DeepDiscount. (I too am from Canada, and I too had never heard of this company before).

DeepDiscountDVD.com DOES offer a special shipping rate to Canada. $3.95.

So, cheaper still!

DeepDiscountDVD does ship to Canada, but as you said it is classified as international shipping and you pay $8.95 for it. But, add that to the price, factor in the exchange rate, and it is STILL cheaper than Amazon.ca.
I ordered from DDD last week, no problems at all.
