Wow. I feel so un-cultured or something. :) I don't have nearly as many literary novels. Oh well, what can I say? I'm a pop culture-loving kinda girl. Oh, but I must say, I LOVE Where the Heart Is, and The Princess Bride! Tracey PS-- I can completely relate to your book issues, candygirl. I would ra...

What's on your bookshelf?

I was sitting here staring at my bookcase, trying to figure out what I was in the mood to read (a perpetual issue with me), and it made me think -- I wonder what everyone around here likes to read...we've done so much discussing movies and tv that I'm curious about books (and I currently run a used ...

The Cutting Edge is the movie about a hockey player-turned-figure skater who falls in love with his stubborn partner as they trained for the olympics or something? Thanks!
That's the one.

Yeah...so you like Christian Bale? Don't see Reign of Fire. Bad. I saw Reign of Fire...I have to admit that I actually liked it, though that was largely due to my huge-mongous imagination working overtime and improving the storyline as it went along (by the time I got out of the theater, I had this...

Whoopee. No, I haven't gotten my DVDs yet, but I did get an update on my shipping status. Not from Au, mind you (even though I did email them), but I finally have more info from my tracking # (which has been "billing info received" for the last two weeks). Here's what I got: Nov 22, 2002 3:08 P.M. H...

Michele, I didn't get an email like that, but I too have had a tracking # for two weeks with no indication that the package is going anywhere. You're the only other person I've seen mention this happening. I'd like to know if you get any other word on your package, though, so maybe I'll have some ho...

candygirl,

My cousin always reads the wildfeed and downloads the episodes and watches them the night before, so don't feel bad. You're not the only one. I let her tell me about them (if there's not anything too major), but I refuse to do it myself. It's tough, but I've managed to hold out.

To answer a question from several posts back -- Yes, I saw the Harry Potter movie this weekend. Twice. It was good. I didn't like the 2nd book as much as the first, but I liked the 2nd movie better. And now I've already started rereading book 3 -- I'm ready for that movie to come out now! :D Granted...

I really like John Doe too, but I missed several episodes in a row so I'm gonna have to wait for holiday reruns to catch back up. I gave Firefly a try mainly because it was a Joss Whedon show, and I think the man is brilliant. It didn't blow me away to begin with, but then again I don't think Buffy ...

Yeah, Swing Kids woulda been on there but I couldn't really find a place for it. Much Ado About Nothing is an excellent movie as well, even if it's Robert Sean Leonard instead of Christian Bale. =) Plus I'm a sucker for Shakespeare stuff (except for the Mel Gibson Hamlet -- yuck). In the CB departme...

So I've been checking my tracking number every day since I got it (Nov 6) and my package has STILL not gone anywhere. They received my billing information 2 weeks ago, and yet no DVDs for me. And I'm NOT overseas -- I live in freakin' Tennessee! Grr. I've been very patient so far, but this is just a...

I'm not published yet, but I'm still working on it. Right now I'm actually delving into the world of screenwriting, with the prospect of making an independent film. It's tough to make the transition from novel to screenplay (the structure is so different), but I'm trudging through it. One terrible, ...
