AOL's "Pop Candy" just linked to it too, and they've already got six pages worth of comments from excited fans.

I'm very excited by this. I can't believe the footage screened at SDCC hasn't leaked onto YouTube!! This will be Claire's third Neil-related project; I think it's safe to say that they are fans of each other, in that she keeps doing Neil-stuff and he had say in her getting the job at least two of th...

I can't wait! MSCL proved to be a valuable aid in navigating my late teen years, perhaps this show will assist me in figuring out my mid-to-late twenties.

Mine is Eben. It's always Eben. If you google "Eben changing day" you'll see that to which I refer.

I wear pince-nez.

I know I've stated it elsewhere, but let me do so again: the Bedford Falls "tour" was not intended to be a feature on the disc. I just wanted an excuse to walk around their office. Had I thought it would be used as a feature I would have been more thorough and more steady.

The "Tour of Bedford Falls" was never intended (by me) to be a "feature"; had it been I would have done a much more thorough and steadier job. I just wanted to walk around BF with the camera and possibly pick something fun up for use in a "trailer" or as an easter egg on the DVD or something.

We keep talking about asking Bedford Falls and Grafik for permissions to create and distribute our own bonus disc, but I don't think it's ever gotten done. While we wait for someone (Ross, we of MSCL.COM, random DVD pirates on 10th St.), I was thinking perhaps we might like to pass around my copy of...

After searching around a bit last night I found a DVD codec for XP that almost worked. Sascha, thankfully, sent me a link to a different codec this morning that works almost perfectly. (The only problem is a sort of stutter, which makes the three of them somewhat resemble Max Headroom at points.) So...

I managed to download a shareware DVD player last night with its own codec. I've watched the credits, the tour, and the first minute or so of the interview. Observations: [1] My name is mispelled in the credits. LOL [2] The tour could have really benefited from a steadycam. [3] The walk-through tour...

I have edited my original post to make clear the fact that the lunchbox sent to me was the prototype from G-Whiz.

In all things AU I have striven to lay out the facts as I know them and leave it to everyone to make up their own minds.

received/reviewed: lunchbox prototype, copy of bonus disc

What should I find on my doorstep this evening but a UPS delivery from Ross. I shook it; it sounded metal. Could it be? It was. The lunchbox looks fantastic , if I do say so myself. The images are of excellent resolution and quality. The placement fits well IMHO. There are two minor things that I wo...

I have the interview I did with Winnie, Ed, and Marshall in 12 gigs of uncompressed digital video. If AU fails to release the bonus disc by, say, May? then I'd be willing to release it.

Anyone have any ideas vis-a-vis distribution?

Limited Edition Lunchbox ETA

Back in December "the word" was that AU had paid G-Whiz to produce the lunchboxes and that they would be completed in January. This had been confirmed with G-Whiz. Tonight Jason talked to G-Whiz and has relayed that "they were possibly going out this week from hong kong". Going out, I assume, to the...

I'm pretty sure he doesn't. Jason's pay should not be contingent upon the number of people ordering (or continuing to order) from AU.
