Re: "Red"

I read somewhere that it's Snuffy Walden playing the guitar in that version of "Red" when Angela's crying, and a friend of his (cannot for the life of me remember the guy's name) who did the vocals for the MSCL theme song is the vocalist on it. Sorry guys, Jared only sings/plays it ONCE. :) thanks ...

Re: Is everyone on vacation?

Hi and thankyou for replying, you're right it is so uninspiring to be all geared up for a good discussion and then no body enters into it! I've just watched the episode about the angel just on it's own and i much prefer it that way. I find when i've watched it as part of the series i get a bit fed u...

Re: Why did the writers have Jordan and Rayanne sleep together?

I think it's exploring the two worlds of Angela, the sexually active Rayanne and Jordan( the adult world she's moving in to) and her own doubts about having sex and her safe 'child' world that she's moving out of. It seems to me that the kids who are sexually active are not happy about it, they are ...

Re: The ebb and flow of being a fan…

I think it's interesting that you persuade other people to watch, you must be a very generous person. I keep it very close to my chest and don't tell anybody about it, unless they really pass the close friend i can trust you stage. I think maybe i'm just paranoid that they're not going to love it as...

Re: Who is Tino ?

I love Richards ideas, when he says a lot of the charm of the show is in the things we don't know I think he's absolutely right, i hadn't thought of it like that before. I really enjoy the Tino character, he is like an in-joke. I do wonder if they were thinking along the Waiting for Godot lines when...

Re: Is everyone on vacation?

Thanks for your reply. It's funny how after watching the show for so many years, i've only just come across this so-called forum! I've just finished my this years watch, and the thing that struck me this time is that Jordan is much more articulate than i first thought. The scene when Angela's ridden...

Re: "Red"

I agree i think it is Jared's voice - but how do we get a copy? It's the most soulful thing ever, i don't care if it's about his car. . .

Can anyone help?

Re: Brian and his bike

I love the idea of the symbolism between childhood/bike and adulthood/car. I think it's in Pressure when she says driving the car is like having to much freedom, that she's not ready for it yet and we see her riding the bike no-hands with a great sense of freedom. But in the end, when she knows Bria...

Re: Username backstories

This is all so obsurdly interesting. I had no idea about 'allowed' boys names in Germany in the 1970's, the psychology of lance man and the lower case and as a new person to this forum i had no idea so many men watched mscl. I mean i can see why, i just hadn't come accross any. Although the time it ...

Re: Is everyone on vacation?

I agree with all this! I absolutely loved it when it was first on and i watched with my new born baby, and now i adore it still and so does my 14 year old. Leaving a good gap inbetween viewings is brilliant as it's too important to just have on a reel. I find now that i watch Patti and Greame much m...

What the Buck

Has anyone seen the youtube film review of Twilight from What the Buck? He likens Edward Cullen to Jordan and gets major points for an mscl reference - yay!
