Re: Any Rickie Fanfic out there?

Hey Allison, There's one Rickie fic out there...but this one is a sort of short AU ficlet by ikilledkennyandjr in which Jordan & Rickie are slightly older and romantically involved with one another. It's a sweet short story. Check it out: Hospital Music Related media: Kenny also made a fan music vid...

Re: "Gestation": New Raynie & Ensemble Fanfic

I'm not sure I'm gonna finish this one. It's too much for me to handle.
I'm going to get my bachelors in Business Administration in 2010.

Re: What's on your bookshelf?

Thanks for the link, Natasha! I'll definitely check it out...There's something just so timeless about Jacob Have I Loved ! I too appreciate and better understand the characters' motivations now that I'm older. Louise's infatuation with the Captain fascinated me, and I felt angry right along with her...

Re: Young Claire Danes on Letterman and Jon Stewart

Haha, Natasha. Thanks for the update. I'm from the silicon valley, but I attend college in southern California, and they still think it's a strange word down there. They make fun of it...When my cousin visited 5 or so years ago from New Orleans, he thought it was really funny too. He told his girl f...

Thanks for bring this to our attention! I downloaded it off of iTunes immediately. It was fun to hear the MSCL theme elongated and w/ a twist.

Re: What's on your bookshelf?

Just thought of another: "Fight Club" by Chuck Palanuik (sp?). Better, even, than the movie adaptation (which is also awesome, with Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham (sp?) Carter). The book is much more detailed, fun, and has less of a typical Hollywood ending, ya know? The author is very ...

Another book I really liked is "Zami: A New Spelling of My Name" by Audre Lorde. It's supposedly a dramatized autobiography of this African American poet. She has a gift for sensory descriptions! Very interesting narrative about finding your place in life. I read it in a college English course in fr...

Re: Just another obsessed fan?

Umbrello, Welcome! I just discovered this show in October 2007, and when I was finished watching I felt the same way, well not in love with Angela Chase, but I was in love with the series as a whole. She is too real, really! The way her mouth crumples...I relate to her so much. She is me at 15 for s...

Oh, Big Love! I have all the seasons on DVD. One of my favorite shows!
Very very good. Definitely watch it. You'll love it! It's got great characters too, and themes of growing up, relating to family and peers etc, just like MSCL. And I can't wait to hear your thoughts on October Road!

Wow, haven't touched this topic in a while....you still around Monny? I don't know how people would have reacted to Abyssinia and Brian as a couple. I don't think we got to see the student's general attitudes towards the mixing of races in the episodes ABC gave us...anyone else have any ideas? Is th...

Re: Dissecting Danielle

This is an interesting point, Natasha. This probably is another creative way for Winnie to give us glimpses of Angela's past and the place that she is coming from. It shows that she has a fun loving home, but she's still feeling dissatisfied, even bored with it--like many of us start to feel in our ...

Re: MSCL MINI CONVENTION - LOCATION VOTE

All I know is that it is in Culver City somewhere. I've been to Culver City because my friend goes to UCLA, which is in Beverly Hills nearby. I've actually been on Tennessee Avenue, which is a very long street spanning a lot of LA, but apparently Tennessee is the name of the street where the warehou...
