Thanks for asking. Penn Hills is where we're moving, to be exact. A really cool brick two-story on Frankstown.

Pittsburgh does seem to be the obvious choice, even though the show wasn't actually filmed there.

Why Pittsburgh?

Just wondering if anyone knows why it was set in Pittsburgh, was one of the creators born there, or was it just a random decision?

Isn't it bizzare that a kid born around the time Nevermind was released would be starting high school pretty soon?

On a related note, isn't it depressing when you remember a band from high school or college (some of the bands featured on mscl might qualify), or any other important time in your life then go do a search on Google or whatever and find that the band either no longer exists or one of the members died...

I was 17 when the show first aired...and being a guy, I couldn't exactly discuss each episode on Friday morning with my buds (I've always been weird though: look through my cd collection for instance, Slayer and Tori Amos, side by side). It was like this secret that I had. But anyway, the fas...

Yep, painful for me too. Both the situations onscreen and the fact that I relate so closely...some personal things happened to me around that time ('94-'95) and I've always felt like I missed out on being an actual teenager so I almost feel like part of me (like the characters) is a perpetual kid in...

I'm sure this has been said before, but for the most part, I'm glad the show ended like it did. Most shows, even high-quality ones, tend to lose steam and end up "re-tooling" to be more appealing to a certain demographic. Because it was cancelled when it was, it remains a time capsule for a certain ...

It's really funny how life works...11 years ago I'm sitting in California watching mscl after a night class at college, now I'm moving to Pittsburgh. It probably has at least as much to do with mscl and George Romero as it does with amazingly low house prices. On a different subject, it's vaguely de...

They could probably make it for awhile, but how many people do you know who end up marrying the person they dated at 15? More likely than Jordan though...if this was real life he'd have ended up working at a gas station or something.
