MSCL book?

Post by Leo » Jun 25th 2004, 11:40 pm

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I've heard rumours about there being an MSCL book written. Is this true? If so, who wrote it and is it still available for purchase in US book stores?

There are two books: My So-Called Life and My So-Called Life Goes On, both written by Catherine Clark.

The first is just a rehash of the entire series. It is only 176 pages long, so obviously she didn't include every single thing that happened in 19 episodes, but it's an okay novelization/summary. The second book is her interpretation of what happened the following summer. I have read it and I thought it was crap, but that's just me. Both books are out of stock/out of print, but I have seen them on ebay for pretty cheap.

There are discussions about the books here, here, and here. I prefer reading the fan fiction, most of which seem much truer to the characters than the MSCL Goes On book.

Look, if this is weird for you, being tutored? I don't mind helping you a little longer.
You could have sex with me if you really want to help...I guess that's a "no"?
