Once and Again

Post by fnordboy » Apr 30th 2003, 11:18 am

So I picked up the Once and Again DVDs the other day as a total blind buy. I watched the first 3 eps so far and I really like the show, atleast what I have seen.

My only complaint is that I feel like such a girlie man when I put a disc in since it is all soap opera trailers before the menu lol. Thank god for the "menu" button on my remote :)

So far so good though.

ADMIN EDIT: I splitted the topics in this thread from the combined "Felicity and OAA on DVD" thread. sab.

In contrast, Buffy makes you "feel all manly" (to quote Spike) with a complete absence of soap trailers! (I know, I'm relentless but I'm glad you took the plunge with Buffy as well as Once & Again - you are a brave man)

My sister is counting the days until Felicity S2 is released - conveniently near her birthday!

Well I haven't finished the Once & Again discs yet, but do you have an idea if/when the Once & Again Season 2 set will be released? Will it be November like the last set?

Buena Vista hasn't made any announcement about OAA yet. It doesn't look good.

Here's a quote from the OAA mailinglist (from April)
today i called buena vista home entertainment (BVHE) in burbank and once and
again inquired as to the possible release of seasons 2 and 3 of o/a on dvd,
and was informed that there was no news at this time, but to check back on a
monthly basis.

i also inquired as to the sales stats for the season one dvd, and was
informed that buena vista doesn't make such stats public, but that such info
could be obtained independently of buena vista from other sources.

I just ordered the Once & Again DVDs blindly based on the comments I've seen here. I can't wait to get them. I already fear that I will love the show and that they will not release the other two seasons.

For everyone in the United States Lifetime Television is replaying Once and Again on Monday mornings at 1:00Am. That means Sunday night for some of us, but technically it is Mondays at 1:00AM. This week will be the last ep of season 1, June 9th will be the first ep of season 02.

Just thought I would let everyone know.

Has anyone heard any news on them putting the other seasons of OAA on DVD? I really liked the first season and cannot believe that I won't get to see what happens. I don't have cable, so no chance for me to tape the showings on Lifetime.

Sadly, there are no news about OAA seasons 2 & 3. But here's some contact information for Buena Vista HomeVideo from an OAA fanpage ( http://www.angelfire.com/tv/onceagain/bvhe.html ):
